simPATI kah?

enough of serious post for now =) my next post will on the beautiful vintage shoes and baju kurung that belong to my grandma. they are fabulous!

till then, take care everybody.

MY LIFE IN HELL HOLE STARTS AGAIN

aih... the new semester has started..

i love seeing all my friends after so long
i love going to the classes (i'm a nerd i know)
i love the PTPTN money that i get
i love going out without having to tell my mom

BUT...

i hate the food here
i hate some people here
i hate the long walk to class everyday under the scorching sun
i hate to pay back the PTPTN money in the future (with an interest of RM 6 000)
i hate the bitches here (pardon my language)
i hate it

aih

BUT
cant wait to see Abu this weekend
baby i miss you =)

what's going to happen to the world?

swine flu. the flu is still spreading. i thought it would stop after a little while. thank god no one from my family is infected. i hope it will stay that way. and being a naive girl (am i still consideredas a girl now that i'm 23?), i thought people around the world will just be more careful and take extra care of themselves to avoid from being infected with the flu. instead, i dont know how i come across this web where it is really frightening how some people think that the flu was somehow a big conspiracy and is one of NWO's agenda. check out the website to see what i mean. and again, i'm not sure whether the guy behind infowars.com is a major crap/BS guy or not but hell he is so full of theories on various conpiracy theories.
indonesia. why do some indonesians hate malaysia so much when a large number of them, a seriously large number, come here to work for the cheapest paying jobs that the malaysians dont even bother to be working for. this one indonesian's blog owner hide behind the internet mask to express his hatred toward malaysia. coward. i dont want to trash the indonesians because i've had enough of all the fightings taking place all around the world each minute. i just hope that both the hating malaysians and indonesians will realise that not even one state is perfect but one shouldnt be defaming and degrading the others to gain a good reputation before the world. this blog is absolutely full with hatred and i am praying hard that any malaysian will not post any cacian or makian at the blog because that will make us malaysians appear weak before their eyes. if my fellow malaysians really have anything to say, say it gracefully and with penuh sopan santun dan tatasusila. if someone hates you, the only way to make them feel stupid is to be nice to them. good words will defeat all them bad words. being rational is the most important thing here. and i pretty sure hope that no malaysian will ever create a blog similar to that one just to express his hatred towards indonesia and indonesians. dont get me wrong. i strongly disagree when people come to our country ILLEGALLY and causing chaos everywhere.

1,2,3 A,B,C

the best thing about practical is that the supervisor or we the law students call them Master are so kind in telling us the hardships they went through to get the degree.

so far, i've had three Masters. Mr. Yip Kum Poh, Puan Zuraidah Yatim and Puan Roselinda Hashim. All three of them are great people with stories of their own.

helping Mr. Yip in his small (not small but ordinary conveyancing law fim) proved to a big challenge. but i did learn a lot there since it was the first place where i learnt about the real world. plus, he is a chinese guy with a bit of a high temper. marah is nothing for me back then. but he always puji me saying nice things after he marah me. fast learner la. smart la. he taught me a lot. especially to be not just a smart lawyer, but a savvy one. thanks mr. eddy. i was with him for three years. every short semester, i will go to his law firm and help him as much as i could. the lesson i learnt is that if you want anything, just go for it full force and you will get it eventually.

then it was time for me to go through a compulsory practical. i decided to go to a new venue since i've learnt so much about conveyancing. (so i thought). so i chose TV3.

i wasnt nervous. really. more to curious. i was curious of how will the workplace turns out to be. how will the people there be. will i get to learn alot about broadcasting laws.

on the first day, we were introduced to the Big Boss Puan Roselinda. a beautiful and warm lady she is. and i still remember how on the first day she invited us to join the Media Prima Annual General Meeting. in my mind was, food food food.. =) from her, i get to know some little infos regarding studying laws in the UK. chambering there etc. oh ya, btw she is Malay-Irish. later on i found out that she is actually a mother of four. a son plus a triplet. that was so amazing to hear. becasuse at first i thought she was not even married. the children ARE cute. Mika, Mila, Kael and Kyra. she showed us their pictures on the last day we were there. i learnt from her, indirectly, that you can be a career woman without neglecting your love and family life. and if i'm not mistaken, i think we share one similar value that is we do not really care about other people's business (in a good way. bukan sombong) unless those we are really close with and we prefer to do our own things. jst my observation laa.. kalau salah, my mistake.

the same lesson i learnt from Puan Zuraidah. secretly, i refer to her as Bos Kecik since the Big Boss is Puan Linda. she is a lso a lovely lady. has been workng with tv3 for more than 10 years. no no no she is not forty plus. still a young lady. and i just figured out that she has a blog too. she is happily married and they are so in love even after seven years of marriage. the biggest lesson i learnt from her, indirectly too, is to believe in the power of love =) because she has this one beautiful perhiasan dinding with "Believe in Love" (something like that laa..) on it. and another thing she taught us is to be aggressive nad outstanding. oh ya, she too has twin girls, Tia and Mia.

both of my lady bosses are not like my Mr. Eddy who was temperamental and cakap lepas. i thought they would be the lady bosses which people loathe the most and it is a suprising fact that they are actually cool and beautiful ladies.

i took the picture from Bos Kecik's blog. Bos Kecik in Yellow and Big Boss in Black. this was at Tia and Mia's birthday party last Saturday.

'kael, the daddy, mila, tia, mama, ghazi, kyra, the mummy, mika, mia and papa'- Bos Kecik wrote this. the daddy = Big Boss's husband. mama = Bos Kecik. the mummy = Big Boss. Papa = Bos Kecik's husband.

Bos Kecik with half of the birthday girls, Tia Khadeja.

THANKS TO ALL MY THREE BOSES FOR ALL THE LESSONS!!!

NOW, WHO SAID LAW GRADUATES ARE BORING??? MY BOSSES ARE ALL COOL =)

oh ya, out of topic. i read something that makes me Thank God so much in Yahoo Featured News. The Bloody America has finally retreated from Iraq. After all the damages they have done, baru diorang nak berundur. the one i feel sad the most is when they attacked all buildings in Iraq especially the museum because it is where the people get the chance to know their history. cuba kalau orang attack dia punya museum of art tu, mau satu dunia dia nak tuduh and nak serang. ni dia terang-terang serang tapi orang tak boleh buat apa-apa. whatever. thank god for the good news. alhamdulillah.

THAT'S SO RANDOM

random questions popping in my mind and questions people asked me:
a) why do people always say 'mulut tak ada insurans!' when someone says something rude? this has always had me puzzled since having something insured means that if something happens to that something, that something will be covered. so, shouldnt "Berapa ribu ko buat insurans mulut?" be said instead of "mulut takda insurans"? sebab, bila orang tu berani bercakap something yang celupar which might cost him his mouth, mestila mulut dia dia dah insured kan. manalah tau dia saja-saja mulut celupar so that when people belasah his mulut, the insurance company would pay him later. tak macam tu? (somebody please shed some light on the insurance thingy. saya budak baru belaja)
b) a friend of mine once asked me (she doesnt listen to English songs that much) what is it that makes me fall in love with certain songs, is it what's the song's about or is it the tune? my answer is it could be both. (just in case you're reading my blog)
c) another friend of mine asked me, 'Best ke main Guitar Hero?'. my answer is HELL YEAH! especially when i dont know how to play the real one. and my favourite hang out momentos is when battling with boyfie Abu, jamming to the song Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson! Gila best!
d) why do people feel pelik when a stranger smiles at them? some people are overtly judgmental that when a stranger smiles at him/her, she'll turn to whoever is beside her/him at that time at say 'Eee.. apahal uncle tu senyum kat aku semacam?'.. and then they'll make fun of that uncle. come on la. smile is the cheapest, FREE in fact, something that could make someone's day. plus, it's a sedekah.
e) still on the topic jugmental, why do people always be like 'eeee... gf cantik, boifren muka macam longkang'? beauty is only skin deep. beauty of the soul is what matters most. not that i dont like pretty faces.
f) why am i posting this when i should be weeping 'cause tomorrow will be my last day at Media Prima? =(

Siapa Pulak Minah Ni???

so, since we are still on the topic of cool malaysian chickas, lemme introduce you to another awesome girl, Zee Avi.

huh? who the hell is she? what are her songs? hmm.. to get to know more, her Wiki here. Gila terer minah ni. budak sarawak nih, budak miri.(fyi, Noh Hujan is also from Sarawak. i believe that Sarawakians are reputable musicians).i first heard her while i was listening to FlyFm camporchart kot. she was with hunny madu. They Are Pure Bred KILLERS!!! they rock!!! suara sorang-sorang tak macam suara siti nurhaliza, elly mazlein, mas idayu (jauh sekali) dan yang seangkatan dengannya. she was even reviewed by the RollingStones (though her lyrics were somehow considered as flat). and she's my age (damn she's having the time of her life while i'm stuck here...sigh). her song Monte was even used for one episode of Private Practice. hmmm.. impressive.

all hail to Zee Avi, Hunny Madu and Yuna!!!

this is a story about her from BILLBOARD! sila tekan disini. gile ah ko Avi.. =)

ps: i also heard that there was someone from USA who wanted Yuna's songs. you go girl!

yuna vs hunny madu

I finally figured out how to spice up my blog with some ear candies and i've decided that Hunny Madu should be the one. Fyi, Hunny Madu was in a group together with Yuna, and the group's name is Surreal. I am not sure where to find their songs. But hey, both of them have excellent voice! Enjoy the song.

anyone who feels like listening to the new sound of malaysian artists, instead of listening to Tak Mungkin Kerna Sayang la, Aku Stacy la, Sayang Sayang la (i bet malaysia is overloaded with an abundant of love), i'm with you guys.

Get to know Hunny Madu!!!

dadah, petir dan kemaluan

+ + =

drugs and lightnings are two things i fear the most. btw guys, have you ever heard that we will die doing the that we are always engaged in? in other words, kita akan mati dalam keadaan (atau situasi) yang selalu kita buat sepanjangn hidup kita...

i am not sure whether it's religiously speaking or kata-kata orang tua-tua zaman dulu- dulu but i heard it while i was in school (yang penuh dengan keimanan itu).

that's why, sometimes we hear that this alim man/woman dies while she was praying, askar dies while he was in the war, prostitute dies due to AIDS, alcoholic dies in a car accident and drug addicts die while taking drugs...there are many other examples which i know you guys can think of.

this is something acceptable and fathomable by rational minds. so, it goes back to prove that Islam is a rational religion (hihi, sejak bila aku amek kursus guru agama KAFA ni...) but it is true, in every sense of it. so, that is why we should always take care of ourselves and nak buat jahat pun janganla jadi tabiat. sebagai mengisi masa lapang tu takpe la... (hahaahaaha...deviant teaching @ ajaran sesat yang sesesat-sesatnya)

the RATIONALE (back to the topic of rationale) of me posting this is because, i read a news in the newspaper. i dont know whether i should be reading the news in a pitiful/sympathetic mode or to read it while laughing my ass off =)

this is the heading of the news. (nauzubillah weyh)

isnt is funny? hahahaahaha.. adakah aku seorang sadist? hell no i am not. but it is so funny. can you guys imagine it? punyalah syok tengah dok high tiba-tiba kena sambar petir? =P hahahaaha... i betcha the dead guys thought that the lightning that struck them were ticklish... =)

and the saddest part is that, the oldest man among the addicts was a 58 years old man. what the hell? he must've have a grandchild(children). it is a shameful thing when your grandpa dies while taking the drugs.. haahahahahahaahah... sorry guys. i cannot stop laughing. MALU WEYH!!!

hmmm... moral of the story is raja habibatul zaharah and friends, always do good things and stay away from shameful/dangerous/sinful habits. we never know what will happen the very next minute. my condolences to the deceaseds' families.

so, it makes me realise that:
i dont wanna die while typing this post =P
i dont wanna die unmarried. hehehe (tak best)
i dont wanna die young because now, i am still enjoying my life, banyak dosa. hahahaa...
i wish to have a long life so that my pahala account is in a stable state =)

al-fatihah to the guys =) amin
god bless me, Abu, my family and all muslims. =)
my apologies to the deceaseds' family members' but i dont mean no harm. just sharing some general knowledge =)

aku melalui proses pertukaran jantina

seriously guys!!!

i went through a sex change in my life

it happened last wednesday!!!

instead of being glad to have let go what i have been holding on for too long, i didnt feel so relieved after all, it was the biggest embarassment in my life.

although i regretted the sex change, i will never want to go through it again..

yes...you heard me right.

'cause i entered the male toilet!!! setelah menahan sekian lama, dengan terkocoh-kocoh ku memasuki tandas itu. there were a kakak there and a makcik cleaner standing in front of the gentlemen's and they just let me pass through the door. why kakak. why makcik. why didnt you guys tell me it was the wrong toilet..

thank god there was no one there =)

akan ku make sure kan aku tidak memasuki tandas yang salah lagi =)

if the toilet signs were this big, i surely wouldnt enter the wrong one =)

KENAPA SAYA TIDAK MAHU ANAK?

is baby really a bundle of joy?

is it a joy when the baby cries at night?
is it a joy when we have to tahan the smell of the poop and change the diapers?
is is a joy whe your weekends have to be spent at home with the baby and not out and about painting the town red?

if that is what you call a bundle of joy, thanks a lot then. saya tak mahu... =)

now dont get me wrong. i am not a baby hater. i like little children. especially the cute ones. one year, two years old babies. they're awfully cute!!! saya bukanlah kejam sangat sampai nak pukul-pukul budak tu. kalau tak saya tak kamceng ngan adik saya yang 6tahun itu. =)

reasons why i dont want to have a baby:

a) the world is getting more dangerous day by day!!! rappist, wars, economic recession, harga makanan kat kantin mahal (dahla i dream of sending my baby to a private school... surely it's gonna cost me a fortune). seriously... if i have a baby of my own, i'm gonna be loving him/her with all my heart. and just imagine how devastated i would be if all/any cruel things that could possibly happen in this world happen to me? =( takut...

b) so maybe dunia akan selamat aman sejahtera damai dimasa akan datang. tapi, cuba bayangkan kalau anak saya membesar dengan tidak berjayanya? terjebak dengan kawan-kawan yang tak patut? ini akan menyebabkan dosa saya bertambah (dahla dah memang banyak dosa). i want to be a cool mum, 'it's okay baby... your boyfriend can come over tonight', 'it's ok sayang, awak nak jadi model taking nude pictures pun mama tak kisah. dapat jugak tambah duit dalam akaun bank'. =P but i know that these arent the appropriate ways of raising a baby (islamic way. belum lagi strict islamic way). so, people might say (if the child grows up to be a devil in disguise), 'it's all the parents' fault!'... ewah ewah, senang mulut cakap. then how about the imam's daughter who turns out to be working in a karaoke hangout place? how about us, do we follow each and every little thing our parents taught us to? no... because we're the children. our duty is to not following the parents' advices. =P

c) i am afraid of the labor pain!!! enough said. sakit ok beranak! i cant even handle the period pain sometimes and you'd expect me to bear the other worse pain? Abu's so cute when he said one day (he saw a heavily pregnant young lady) 'i wouldnt want you to be pregnant 'cause looking at the lady makes me think of the pain you'll have to go through'... aww.. that's so thoughtful of you =)

d) i'm afraid that i will love my baby so much that i might tend to ignore my husband (in the future i mean. i'm still single ok guys). told abu about this and he said 'haha... best la tu. i can hang out with my friends when you have to look after her (the baby) =)' haha..."so funny" abu!

e) i wanna be pampered by my husband. i want our time alone. and i dont want the husband to love the baby more than he loves me =P selfish, i know.

f) i'll have to sacrifice all my shopping money to buy the diapers, the baby talc etc. =( there goes my nice fcuk dress...

g) banyak lagi reason lain yang tak sesuai nak diletak di blog ini. censored. =P

i'm still young. maybe my brain is not yet ready to digest the idea of having a baby =)

again, this entry does not make me a baby hater. i love babies, but not for me, for now.
and dont worry, i know all the sacrifices that my mom had done for all of us. and i appreciate it.. but for the time being, honestlly, i am not fit to be a mother =)

have a look at my 6 years old sister singing Unfaithful. she refers to Rihanna as Kakak Senaman 'cause of the way she dances in the video clip. cute =)

i love babies. and i think the cutest baby award should go to Suri Cruise =)

tapi her parents a.k.a the Cruises are creepy weirdos =P

To Kill a Mocking Bird

"People in their right minds never take pride in their talents"

this is one of my favourite books. and thanks to Salikeen, i got to have a copy of my own. =) tapi my cover tak se-classic macam buku di atas. it was a book written in the 1960s by Harper Lee. it's a funny story without having to include any gory and disgusting and stupid-comedy bits in it. the book is funny on its own. it even touches on the issues of race and class in the deep south ofAmerica in the 1930s.

after hundreds of books i've read, i figured out something about myself. which is, i love to read books about little chidren figuring out life and going through things at such young age. be it great things, heart breaking moments and extra ordinary stuffs that even adults might have not gone through. why? i myself am wondering why. maybe it's the innocence in such stories that caught my interest and made me stay and bed and finish the book in one reading. maybe. maybe it's the way the book is written. maybe.
other books about young children that are on my favourite list:
a) The Colour of Water (James McBride)
b) Carry Me Down (MJ Hylands)
c) Bastard Out of Carolina (Dorothy Allison)

you can google these books and will find the synopsis.
so, what's with the phrase?
"People in their right minds never take pride in their talents".
this is something Miss Maudie said to Jean Louise @ Scout Finch.
my opinion: no matter how talented you are, you are to observe that the talent is not something to be proud of. talent comes from god and it's on loan. if you are really talented, you dont have to go for miles to advertise it. if you are really talented, people will find you. and even up till that moment. never be proud of yourself 'cause you will never know when god takes it back.
till then, take care everyone =)
akulah si kaki buku yang cool itu. hell yeah i am that cool bookworm =P
(not bragging especially not on a talent, so it's fine i guess)

Seronok Sangat Ke Jadi Artis

Lisa Surihani?
Cheryl Samad?
Annahita Bakavoli?
Fahrin Ahmad?

hmmmm... cuba teka apa persamaan yang mereka ada? hahaha.. they are all law graduates. they are my seniors, so to say. i believe lisa surihani is a UK graduate. oh ya btw, i met lisa in media prima the other day =P she's skinny and not as big as she appears to be on the movies.
so, it is really a fun thing to be an artist? what makes the law graduates nowadays opt for a career in the glamour world? adakah bayaran yang lumayan yang boleh didapati dengan senang? 'cause cheryl once said that all the payment she received helped her pay her PTPTN loan. hmmm... maybe is hould try doing the same? haha... dream on. but i really admire how cheryl can talk that fast!!! and she's not your conventional beauty. she's in her own class. love her1 annahita, i dont know much about her but i figured out just now that she is currently in the USA. i dont what sh'es doing. furthering her studies i guess. this is here blogspot. http://annahitabakavoli.blogspot.com. i am so sorry i dont know how to do the link thingy. =P
tapi, memangla diorang law grads, tapi maybe pointer diorang yang jadi artis ni tak cukup untuk menjadikan mereka pegam yang berjaya kot. =P maybe... jangan marah.
but why do they have to wait until they grad to become a celebrity? maybe mummy dia cakap kat dia suruh grad dulu, baru boleh jadi artis. maybe. there are many other artists in malaysia who are law grads. for me, in my humble opinion, they are wasting the degree they have. after all the years (i should know better 'cause i am one of them myself) memorising the statutes and the cases. carlill v carbolic smoke balls la. rylands v fletcher la. tara rajatnam v datuk jagindar singh la. this is only 0.0001% out of the total number of cases we have to study and memorise. thousands of cases they have to memorise! and it all go to waste. sigh... i know, i know. it's their life and they have the right to do whatever they want with it. so, sussh me!
so, apakah agaknya ciri-ciri yang menyebabkan diorang boleh berjaya menjadi artis?
a) they are confident and rasa diri bagus. (like all other law students =P. but i doubt my confidence level)
b) they're good at memorising stuffs. hey, we are good in memorising millions of cases. movie scripts should be nothing for them! =)
c) diorang pandai berfikir untuk memutarbelit satu statement which gives them an advantage to face all the poyos entertainment journalists in malaysia. "you say A, i'll say AA". but we lwayers are not liers. we say something differently from how you say it, but it's still the same =)
d) they are degree holders. people look up to them. is this a good thing actually? in the past, the mama juwies always say that malaysian artists are stupid because they do not finish their studies. and presently, most of the celebrities are well educated. i dont know which one is better actually. orang yang habis spm and takda kerja lain boleh buat ke ataupun orang yang ada degree tapi taknak guna degree yang lebig bagus untuk jadi artis? mana-mana pun boleh sebenanye. hidup diorang. duit parents diorang. not my parents'.so it's up to them.
hmm.. i guess that's about it.
so... it makes me wonder. adakah patut aku menjadi seorang artis dan mengikut jejak langkah mereka dimasa hadapan? hahahaha

Benarkah Aku Mempunyai Ciri-ciri Wanita Korporat??

so yester yesterday, i did one quiz. Are You the Corporate Type? i thought that my results will not be affirmative. reasons why:

a) i am not a punctual person. my lecturer told me that if you have the habit of coming late for class, most probably you'll have that habit even when you are eventually practising. i didnt give a shit when she/he said that 'cause for me, no i will not be like that. haha... in my face!! all the short sems where i have been working with a law firm (YKF & Associates) and currently in Media Prima, i hardly be on time. my office hour starts at 9.15-9.30am(baru jadi trainee dah datang lambat. maybe i'm only fit to be a lady boss. maybe). i hate it when the teachers/lecturers are always right =P

b) i dont think i have the social skills needed to be in the corporate world. i see myself as someone who wouldnt care to tell you how nice your shoes/spouse/handbags are. i am not the one who'd be asking you about your vacation in Rome. i am not the one who'd be asking you how your day was. but dont get mewrong. i dont do these to everyone. only to those i find no interest in. =) if i get to know you better, i'll be the nicest human being around. (lotsa people have been telling me this.) so sorry. niceties are not my forte. tapi saya bukan seorang yang kejam.

one thing for sure, i do know other types of socialising skills *wink*

and

c) i hate to be in an office for hours. i hate the people who first gave the idea that office hours should start at 9 freakin am and ends at 6 effing pm. i just cant stamd being in a closed space especially if the space has no windows! i am an oxygen-inhaling human being for pete's sake! ii guess this is the biggest point in proving that i dont have what it takes to be a corporate lady. kenapalah ofis-ofis zaman sekarang tak ada tingkap? but if they doo have windows, wouldnt the paperworks be flying around? haha... i seriously hate the idea of being stucked in an office. i want to be in courts, i wanna flirt with the judges (no way!). i wanna be out and about. i dont want to be a conveyancing, family or corporate lawyer or any other types of legal practice that requires me to be in an office for hours. waaa..... tidak!!! i even thought of becoming a full time housewife (tak ada cita-cita langsung) to a wealthy and honest and successful businessman, Abu Sufian that is. haha... i could go shopping all day long!

so these are the main reasons why i am not eligible to be a corporate lady.
i was so confident that the quiz is going to tell me that i have no chance in hell to be someone of corporate material. guess what??? after i've added up all my points, my accumulated point was eventually the highest rank of points. around 22-24 points maybe. are you serious? you gotta be kidding me! this cant be right. so, let's analyse the questions and myself.

a) so, among the questions, one of it was "when you are interested in being someone's friend, do you manage to do be his/her friend at the end of it". there are another one or two questions similar to this one. i guess, these questions is to know whether when i want something, i will find my ways to it, i guess. hell yeah i will. i am goal driven! so maybe, this is the most important value that is appreciated in the corporate world. that is why I AM SOMEONE OF CORPORATE MATERIAL! damn right. haha...

b) i may not be punctual, but all my works are done in time. and in tip top condition. trust me. i'm not lying. you can ask my lecturers (bukan cikgu sekolah menengah tau. dulu masih dizaman berpoya-poya) and my group mates. in completing any task given, i can be an uptight perfectionist. ko tersalah eja satu perkataan sikit pun aku dah rasa ko tak layak join group aku. wah!!! kedengaran seperti seorang bos besar. but i'm telling you, i'm serious.

and

c) hmmm... i guess being goal driven and a perfectionist dah cukup untuk membuatkan aku seorang figura korporat. so, how about my fashionably late attitude and my lack of social skills? benarkah apa yang dinyatakan oleh kuiz tersebut. akan ku belajar cara-cara untuk memuji dan mengampu orang bila tiba masanya =)

are they pretty damn sure that i will survive in the corporate world? did i cheat when i answered all the questions? no i didnt! or did they purposely created this quiz in a way that it is actually a reverse-psychology thingy to make people like motivated to be in the corporate world. i dont know.

and i dont care. i'll let myself decide in time. haha... won't let a trivial quiz mould my future =P the purpose of this entry is not to promote all the big bosses in the corporate world to hire me when i graduated. no. i was just wondering, how could someone who always bend the law like me, who always come late for class and work be considered as someone of corporate material? jeng jeng jeng... misteri ini akan terungkai dalam sepuluh tahun akan datang. i'll be reading this 10 years later and be smiling to myself regardless what my choice will be.

adakah aku akan menjadi seperti wanita ini yang akan membuat dan memikirkan tentang kerja walaupun didalam kereta on the way to KLCC untuk shopping?

atau seperti wanita ini yang kelihatan tensen+happy to be a housewife?

time will tell =) even Abu once told me that he'd prefer me being a lawyer than a lecturer or a wife =) you are so supportive darling.
for the time being, what i can tell is i am happy being a law student. never regretted this choice i made in life =)
till then, take care everyone.

WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN TO HUMANITY?

front page today:
a)stadium roof collapse (somewhere over the rainbow).
b)canteen roof collapse
c)pondok mak timah's roof collapse
(pilih jawapan masing-masing)
btw, shouldnt it be written as "stadium/canteen/pondok mak timah's roof collapsed"?
i dont know. i have no masters in English Language. =)

so,what does the collapse have to do wit humanity?

well you see,

it was a buiding newly built. though im not an architectural student or engineering student, but it's only logical that a building with the age of less than two years is a young/new building. and it shouldnt collapse. it shouldnt collapse just like that. there was no earthquake. there was no heavy rain. the building was not built on a slope. the big guys involved with the construction of the building will most probably say "owh..ini semua takdir tuhan.. kita dah cuba sedaya upaya untuk jadikan ianya sebuah bangunan yang selamat." sigh...

truth is, islam teaches us to be rational and logical. there will be no single thing that's left without an explanation.

so, apa kaitannya dengan humanity nih?

well.. it's like this. who approves of the construction? the big guys. who are the big guys? the guys who have powers and money and riches and fame in their mind 24/7. i dont think i'm alone 'cause i believe many may have the same opinion like mine. so, here's a case scenario:

A, the big guy was told by another guy, bigger than he is, that there is going to be a new big and mega project. a mega construction. the bigger guy told the big guy, "ok...so we'll give 292mil, you are going to find any party with a good offer to be given the tender to help build the building". so the big guy find his chronies and family members and ipar duai and kawan-kawan tadika dia dulu-dulu untuk build the building. however, he told everyone that the project is gonna cost 250mil. so, where goes the 42mil? into his personal account of course. so, lesser budget, lesser quality of a building we'll get. get it?
the second case scenario:
the same guy was given the task of handling the project. however, this time around the bigger guy told him that there's going to be a big big massive supermassiveblackhole event. "we want to make our state the talk of the nation. we want it to be ready by 16th May 2006, just in time for that big event. do it as soon as possible. if you fail to do so, we will tell everyone your dark past and you will be dethroned (from your imaginary throne)". so the big guy has to find people to get the jobs done. it turned out that they are running out of time. so the big guy told everyone "ala..buat cincai-cincai jela.. asalkan siap on time". so there they are. cincai-boncai je buat kerja.. then there's one mr.nice guy telling them they cant do so, so the big guy threatened that mr.nice guy and tell him to shut up or else he will spread rumours about him (who was running for the position of ketua Taman Permainan Kampung Permai)... middle note: my Islamic Criminal Laws lecturer told us that it's called Qazaf (telling lies about others). he was also given a large sum of money to go have coffee at gloria jeans, starbucks, coffe beans and old town kopitiam. so the works were done in a haste and they even gave some duit kopi to the guy evaluating the building for CF.
so these are the two possible case scenarios in my mind. tapi saya rasa banyak lagi cara untuk orang pecah amanah. saya tak tahu sebab saya tak pernah buat.
so, apa kaitannya ngan humanity nih?
well you see. in both situations, money, power, fame and pride were involved. they couldnt care less about the future or about the trust people entrusted in them. well, maybe they thought the building wont collapse within 2 years. maybe they thought it'll collapse when they eventually die so they'll escape the blame. they forgot that the main purpose of a building is to serve as a shelter for the people. be it a mosque, a canteen, a school, or even a big playground which have big bowling alleys and etc. mereka lupa bahawa Allah sentiasa ada untuk menunjukkan kepada mereka apa yang mereka lakukan di luar pengetahuan manusia lain. ko ingat ko boleh tipu tuhan ko?
and then, now they are pointing their fingers at another country (negara kelahiran Rain) which allegedly completed the construction of the roof. wah!! sedap je nak blame orang kan korang orang tua nih kan? mase anak ko kecik-kecik gaduh ngan kawan-kawan kat tadika pandai pulak ko nasihat dia "Jangan salahkan orang. awak jangan layan dia. biarkan dia". BS!!! "You never take anything that doesnt belong to you ok, sweetheart". "mat rempit sudah menjadi barah dalam negara yang tak boleh diselamatkan lagi." wah!!! pandai nasihat and blame budak-budak!!! diri sendiri dah tua bangka perangai macam mak bapak tak pernah ajar! pandai nak blame orang atas semua kejadian. mentang-mentang mat rempit tu semua orang benci dan tiada medium untuk mereka mempertahankan diri and tak banyak duit macam ko!! they sure know how to blame others these people. dont get me wrong, my boyfriend is not a mat rempit and i dont agree with the nuisance they caused, but at least, they dont steal away the tax money that we paid (well, not us. our parents did pay)
money, power, fame and pride my dear friends caused a lot of disasters in the world. seriously!!
contoh:
power: keganasan US and Israel
money: all the stupid stuffs the celebrity/politician/manusia biasa will do to get the money they have always dreamt of.
fame: sama seperti diatas
proud: bila semua negara nak tunjuk diorang negara yang power. nuklear la. industry la.
sigh...
with the money they had cheated and stolen, they went to overseas trip.. for a few weeks or maybe a few months. shopping. visiting vegas. 2nd, 3rd, 4th honeymoon. unofficial honeymoon with mistresses. not for the benefit of the body the big and bigger guys represented but for personal pleasure. oh damn...
what is going to happen to humanity?
i wish that one day, if there is any other big guy who does this kind of thing, him/her or his/her family members were there when the building collapse so they will see for themselves the damage they have done. takdela sampai diorang mati kat tempat kejadian. maybe cedera parah tapi masih sempat bertaubat =)
they put their needs first before the people who rely on them. i am so disappointed. haih...
i pray to god that my generation will learn from our tak guna ancestors and will try our best to put humanity and fear of god first before our personal needs.
i pray to god to make me one good and honest lawyer one day.
i pray to god that none of my family members were involved in such situation and never will.
i pray to God that Abu Sufian will the most honest and successful businessman in the future.
till then..
this has been my bits as a law student. (budak law memang suka bercakap pasal semua benda kat sekeliling sebab manalah tau lecturer dia terbaca blog dia one day and bagi extra marks. mintak maaf ye puan puan dan tuan tuan).
pardon me for certain words inappropritely used.
take care everyone. jangan masuk bangunan-bangunan yang dibina dalam tahun 2000an kerana i doubt their safety level. =)
tiada lagi yang ikhlas seperti zaman British dan penjajah lain menjajah negara kita. mungkin inilah hikmah disebalik penjajahan tersebut apabila orang atasan berjuang dan berkhidmat dengan setulus dan seikhlas hati.

no names have been mentioned, so please lord shield me from any defamation action =)
amin

it's not your age that gives you my respect. it's your integrity.

it was fine

the day was fine

Kesusasteraan Inggeris di Tanah Pasir Penambang Kuala Selangor

i love writing poems.

not just when i'm feeling down ('cause most people love to write when they are down). i admire Rumi the most and Hafiz sometimes. and when Abu's birthday or our anniversary is coming up, and i dont have much cash left, i'll be buying nice coloured papers and write down my feelings for him. i'll write anything that comes to mind and pretending like i was the next Rumi =). they turn out to be the best gifts on the list.

i wanna thank the ministry of education for realising the fact that us malaysians do need to learn some literature although it was a bit late, in the 2000s. well, we (cool people born in 1986) were not exposed to literature up till 2002 and truth be told, i pretty much hated The Pearl haha. it was a sad story and i hated it so much. i dont know what they learn nowadays but maybe the ministry could try and find another less dark story. maybe. and i've always wanted to learn The Phantom of the Opera although it is not in the syllabus for us. such a cry baby i am when i cried watching the movie =(

i dont remember much all the poems that were taught to us but the one that i remember the most is the one by Robert Frost. =)

Robert Frost (1874–1963). Mountain Interval. 1920.

1. The Road Not Taken

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

this poem has taught me to be who i wanted to be and follow my heart. made me realise that the way everything were set before us need not necessarily be the same exact path that we have to choose to follow. there are choices in live and we better be wise to choose the best for us. this is my interpretation of this poem. i doubt i'll get an A for English if i wrote this in my answer sheet for SPM =P but i did get an A =) thanks Teacher Anis and Teacher Samiah. You guys rock!!

owh how i miss the school days. the boring classes. the always-taste-like-leftovers meals (i was living in a hostel you see). the time-to-sleep-and-chat-around prep hours. the skin-darkening campings. the owh-so-cool places i went for weekly outing. all the pretty boys in school. all the respected teachers (especially my Cikgu Rokiah and Teacher Anis Aryanti). the bitchy fights we had with the seniors and juniors. the phone calls we made to radio stations, and usually it was Radio 4 RTM a.k.a Traxx Fm when we were to lazy to study. all the silly little girl flings i had. and the musolla a.k.a the slumberland because it was the best place to take a nap =P.

just to name a few. school days are fun. trust me little boys and girls. you may feel like wanting to finish school by tomorrow to be in colleges, but think again. you wont get to eye cute boys without feeling less gedik and silly. unless you are natural born gedik. =) you wont get to be all that emo cause if you do, people will hate you but in school, you'll be the coolest boy/girl and you'll be in the same wagon with Jared Leto. in school, you get to make a lot of friends as you please one day and buat taik with them as you please the other. reason is, you're still young. there's still a lot you have to earn. but when you're in your 20s, you put up such attitude and no one will want to be your friend.
school days are fun. i wish i am 16 now. =( being a young man and lady rocks!
if i may take the other road now, i wish that it will lead me somewhere where i never have to grow up.

i dont think/know if i have grown up to be the person that my teachers had hoped for. but one thing for sure, i have always tried my best in everything i do =)

the hall
waa...kenapalah aku buat entry ni? tiba-tiba timbul perasaan rindu yang teramat sangat!!

anie. azah. murni ayu. shima. suban. fufu. azie. aelin. dayah. niza. zaza. degu. fifi. suria. julia. raihana. aynie. saa. hasmal. jaja. (i betcha i might've missed some names here. sorry girls. i'll update it as soon as possible)
i miss you girls!
i wish the ministry will think of other great poets and poems =)
till then.. take care guys =)

Good Samaritan Malaysians

I've lived in KL and Selangor for all my life. except for a couple of years when I was around 4 or 5 years old, i lived in Ipoh. Of all the bad things I read in the newspaper about KL, I thank God that i havent encountered any of them. Never been smugged or groped even in a really jammed and packed LRT. My grandma in kampung always have a negative view on the big city. So does a friend of mine from Penang, who loathes KL so much! (go pack your things and leave then) =)
So, what makes me bring up this topic? I passed out in the LRT two weeks ago. Fyi, anyone close to me would know that i hardly fell sick. It's been ages since I last caught fever. In fact, I dont even remember if I ever caught one. Not even selsema ( I refuse to use 'flu; because my english teacher once told me that influenza and selsema are slightly different).
It was a monday. A dull monday. Garfield's right. Monday is never fun! as usual, the train was so packed u cant even budge a milimetre. Trust me. It's like domino effect. One person moves, the others will do too.

I felt a surge of blood. and seram sejuk. real cold. The train was nearing Damai station. Then another surge of blood. The next thing i know, a lady was holding me "dik, duduk dik...".
what the...? did i just faint? malu!! haha...
The nice lady asked me "are u ok?". of course I wasnt. I gave her my most not-ok face because i seriously wasnt ok. Then she asked me where was I heading to. Told her Kelana jaya, and she was suprised cause it was not even half way there yet. Then she rummaged through her purse and pulled out a Snickers bar. "Nah amek ni.. awak tak sehat ni.. makan coklat. Take care tau. Akak turun dulu." It was the KLCC station. So, evidently, I passed out through approximately 3 stations. That was quite a while. If it was a man who helped me, I might have been officially groped in a train for the first time. I felt like crying when the kakak left me.
kakak!!jangan la turun. jaga la saye! =P
My knees were trembling, no im not kidding you. So i didnt go to work that day. Went to UIA clinic and the doctor (the doctor whom I am scared of the most) gave me paracetamol, the wonder medicine. A medicine for all illnesses. And an MC. For that day. Later that night, me and my mom went to our family clinic and I got an MC for the next day =)
yeay!!my offical first MCs since I never fell sick. So that was my first encounter with a good samaritan.
My second experience was just last week. Seriously people, I myself dont even know what the hell is wrong with my body system!! I felt like fainting for the second time that I had to squat on the floor. as I was about to squat, the kakak who was sitting immediately reached out for my hand and asked me to take her seat. I was so touched!! There are nice people in KL! Like the first kakak, she too asked me where was I heading to etc.
But this time around, no Snickers for me =( but I thank you kakak for your sympathy.
So these are my encounters with good samaritans. And I will never forget my Snickers. Thanks kakak!
And i hope I will have the opportunity to help others when they are in need.
What is good samaritan principle?
google it people. =)

These incidents make me proud of KL even more. and I pray to God that I will never have to encounter any evil things in KL.
If you dont agree with the Good Samaritan Principle (since its a Christianity thingy), but I believe that even in Islam we are encouraged to help others when in need, you still can find the rationale in it. Muslims are bound to be helpful. Plus, mind you that in Christianity, if the story was right, this principle was brought into existence by their Jesus a.k.a our Prophet Isa. Therefore, we still can follow the principle because helping others is not a sin and Isa is our prophet. I believe we have our own version of the Good Samaritan story. I will try to find it. =)

Thing is, do good things people. You'll be blessed and you'll feel good about yourself.
=)

My Music

The Kooks

Little Joy

The Strokes

Not many people get my taste of music.
some say its too loud.
some say its too simple.
some say mean things that they wanna say.

but if i listen to what people say about my taste of music, i'll end up being just another boring girl who takes every one hit wonders as her favourite music.
i despise that idea!

so, not to brag, but before everyone were all hooked up on Katy Perry, i've been listening to her months before that.
i came across her on the internet.
the song that got to me was You're So Gay.
then came the rest of her songs.
so maybe, MAYBE i am a pop chick.

apart from her, i love Lady Gaga.
some people dont get her.
"shes a slut, shes a drag, shes fake"
some mean things people say to show that they're cool.
but i love her.
Poker Face? i listened to that long long time ago.
when all other girls are still trying to figure out the lyrics to Just Dance, i found another favourite song of mine from her.
Love Game.
oh ya, and Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)
shes hot man! (not in a way a man would say it =) )

i was always the girl who listens to a song and people will say,
"Lagu ape tu? pelik nye."
and few weeks later, they'll get hooked on that song.
shheessh girls!!

i remember Kiss Me Thru the Phone
back when it wasnt a favorite play on the radio, i had it as my ringtone.
a friend of mine said, upon hearing it
"tak sedapnye lagu!"
(jilat la your own spit young lady!)

so those are my Pop Pleasures for the moment.

other pop acts that i listen to:
Lilly Allen
Feist
Regina Spektor
Dido
Jewel (before she was slutty)
and those who know the way to pop my world!
=)
I am more of a rock chic actually.
but not Secondhand Serenade. (euuww)
you're a guy who cries for a girl every single day and you call yourself a rocker?
dont put the guitars to shame!

my all time favourite?
THE STROKES!!!
their sound: Hard to Explain. =)
i'm waiting impatiently for their 4th album.
favourite songs?
all of their songs are lovable.
but tell you the truth,
they are not love at first listen!
the sounds might be annoying at first, but later on after a few spins,
you're hooked on them!

other bands that i listen to:
Coldplay (everybody hated them while i was in high school. only me and Puyat found them as an excellent musician)
Kings of Leon
The Kooks
The Killers
Albert Hammond Jr
Little Joy
No Doubt
Oasis
Radiohead
The Cranberriess
and some other bands.

my playlist?
people will stop listening to it after a few songs.
i'm sorry i dont have I'm Yours in my playlist
i'm sorry i dont have Daughtry in my playlist
i'm sorry i dont have all the hit songs that u listened on the radio and decided that it should be your favourite song.
but i love my playlist!
and it's mine!

and i am so blessed to have Abu who shares almost exactly the same taste of music.

disclaimer:
im not saying that i have an excellent taste of music.
but this is my taste of music.
i dont diss yours, you dont diss mine.
deal?

"in many ways, we'll miss the good old days.
sometimes."

"you said you wanna stay by my side.
darling your head's not right"
